| Palm Genera: 148 of 190 | << Polyandrococos Pritchardia >> |
Prestoea10 species. Prestoea palms are found in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Most form clusters of stems, but some can be solitary. We have found this genus to be sensitive to cold and intolerant of South Florida's alkaline soil. Highland species cannot tolerate excessively hot summer temperatures. Where they can be grown, Prestoea palms are beautiful elements of rainforest landscapes. Mountain cabbage palm (=P. montana) | |
