Latania

3 species. The genus Latania is endemic to the Mascarene Islands of the western Indian Ocean. All three species of Latania are easy to grow in South Florida with little care. They are ornamental fan palms with interesting leaf coloration. Young plants have leaves with bright red stripes, while older plants have waxy, bluish leaves.
